Bisserup Harbor
Bisserup is a small, idyllic town on the south coast of Zealand, between Stigsnæs and Karrebæksminde. It is located along the eastern edge of Holsteinborg Nor, which towards the Smålandsfarvandet is bordered by Glænø and its Øster Fed (protected area).
Navigating Bisserup Harbor
Due to tidal currents, there can be a flow of about two knots in the harbor and the entrance between Øster Fed and Stenrevet. Observe the vessels moored on poles in the eastern side of the entrance – they indicate the direction of the current. Even with south and southwest winds, the shallow waters on either side of the dredged channel break the waves, making passage through the channel and into the harbor smooth. The red buoys west of the harbor mark how far west the water is deep enough.
